Most other kiosk manufacturers will simply use an off the shelf desktop PC - we see two problems with this: Firstly it is a desktop PC and is designed to sit on or under a desk and get airflow around it - by putting it in another box (the kiosk enclosure) there is not sufficient airflow which leads to premature component failure. Secondly the quality of the internal components - desktop PC's are built to appeal to the mass market and as a direct result are usually price driven and therefore the internal components are not designed for the rigors of industrial usage.
We carefully select tier one industrial components (i.e. top of the range in their respective areas), these Components are mated together and then rigorously tested to ensure compatibility, they also have to meet stringent requirements in terms of temperature resistance, resistance to vibration, and electromagnetic radiation. The chosen components are then fitted to our openframe chassis, which is designed for optimum cooling and extended component life expectancy.
TouchMate Industrial PCs all carry the c-tick mark, are checked for electromagnetic compatibility, and are FCC certified. . |
