These units are designed as all weather unattended outdoor units. They needed to be IP66 rated, intrinsically safe (explosive proof) and securely house weights and measures certified components. The internal temperatures are maintained by a combination of an internal ventilation system, a positive pressure filtration system and a compact heat exchange unit.

The units were fitted with a receipt printer, POSTEC secure credit card reader and daylight readable LCD which is mounted behind 18mm of toughened glass. The unit is built from a combination of steel & stainless steel.
